Dissemination meeting at Max-Eyth-Schule 11/05/2017

Presentation of the Project Results “LearnIT”

Since the beginning of 2015, the Max-Eyth-School is participating the project “LearnIT” (Learning tools and routes for Individual Training). On Thursday may 11th 2017, the project results were presented within a big dissemination event. The project ends in June 2017. Many of our dual partner instructors followed our invitation, which we would like to thank for in this place.

Our principal Misses OStDr’in Anne Gsell opened the event with very interesting thoughts about learning and education. The event continued with an equally interesting talk on the subject “ERASMUS+ – collaborative learning in Europe” given by the representative of the Ministry of education of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Ministerialrat Mister Siegmut Keller (see next text). We would like to thank Mr. Keller in this place.

Within the next part, the project was presented in more detail: Part of the LearnIT Project are Partners of four different European countries (Portugal, Germany, Finland and Spain). The goal of the project was, based on the example CNC training under the regard of ECVET principles (more information: https://www.na-bibb.de/erasmus-berufsausbildung/mobilitaet/ecvet-und-qualitaet/), to develop new, flexible and modern learning methods and pathways. The project’s first step was to define a common learning outcome. After that detailed tender specifications were defined and realized. As one part of the project’s concept a new workshop environment was designed and has been realized by the project partner in Lisbon (Portugal). It has been tested and subsequently evaluated within a pilot project with participants from all countries involved in the project. Participating apprentices and the accompanying colleague of the MES were describing their experience at this point as well.

After lunch and the perfect opportunity to exchange experience with all persons involved, our guests were able to test for themselves: As mentioned already above, within the framework of the project, learning material for two learning units were developed (“CNC-programming” and “Setup and Machining”). Comprehensive E-learning components with lots of control questions and final assessment of the learning progress have emerged as well. They run on the basis of the Moodle-platform. Many conference participants used the opportunity and tested the e-learning components by themselves.

The feedback for this was extremely positive and some of our dual partners are really interested to include these components in their vocational training. In the next few months we will search together for possibilities, how to integrate these components in our teaching and hence to offer a more flexible and mutually supportive learning in the enterprise and in school.
